1. $500 Billion on Building New AI Infrastructure
The biggest news this week was about “The Stargate Project,” which is a new organization that will be spending half a trillion (!) dollars to build new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the US.
This move, which is funded by SoftBank, Oracle, MGX, and OpenAI, and includes technology partners such as NVIDIA and Microsoft, is so massive in scale that it’s being referred to as the “AI Manhattan Project.”
For business leaders, this signals that investments in AI are not slowing down, and there will be more & more AI jobs created going forward.

2. ChatGPT is Rolling Out Tasks
OpenAI recently announced that they’re introducing a new feature in ChatGPT called “Tasks.”
This will help you use ChatGPT as more of an assistant where it will send you reminders or complete recurring actions for you in the future.
This is not fully rolled out to everyone yet as it’s still in beta, but I see this as a great productivity enhancer for ChatGPT users.
Here are a couple of short videos about how the feature works.
Today we’re rolling out a beta version of tasks—a new way to ask ChatGPT to do things for you at a future time.
Whether it's one-time reminders or recurring actions, tell ChatGPT what you need and when, and it will automatically take care of it.

Allie K. Miller recently released her 2025 AI predictions and how she thinks the next 12 months in AI will change everything.
Here’s a summary of the big 3 things you should focus on for 2025:
Test-Time AI & Long Horizon Reasoning: We’re entering an era where AI will have “unlimited” context lengths, which means that you’ll be able to use AI in interesting ways (e.g. use cases where you can leverage your organization’s entire customer history). She does caution that more context doesn’t necessarily mean better context because there are limitations.
AI Agents: The mainstream move to AI agents will happen in 2025 where we’ll see tools that help folks who are non-technical create and use those autonomous helpers.
Energy & Compute: The focus on energy and computing is what “everything else depends on,” and Allie highlights the Stargate Project (mentioned above) as one example of this AI arms race.
